#Private5G: Return on Investment for Private Wireless

A recent survey from Spirent finds that enterprises can realize a significant return-on-investment from a private 5G network rollout, however, there are concerns. Steve Douglas, Head of Market Strategy from Spirent, provides guidance:

– Private 5G networks are driving business outcomes such as increased productivity, reduced downtime, and greater efficiencies. These outcomes are now tied to SLAs, ensuring the network, devices, and applications deliver on performance, reliability, and security.
– Security has become a dominant requirement for enterprises adopting private 5G. Previous networks were insecure and didn’t provide the necessary levels of security and reliability for implementing next-generation use cases.
– The utilization of advanced technology like 5G, especially for uplink traffic, is unlocking value in areas like video monitoring. 5G’s potential bandwidth allows for real-time image recognition, leading to significant reductions in expert site visits and increased productivity.
