TELUS will deploy a packet microwave solution from DragonWave to provide additional high-capacity connectivity for special events.
Specifically, TELUS selected DragonWave’s Horizon Compact primarily because its all-outdoor, zero-footprint design that will allow for rapid deployment of service to remote locations without need for trenching optical fibre.

Google/Alphabet Project Loon solar-powered balloons drifting in the stratosphere (~20 km), steering by rising and falling into different wind layers, relaying LTE from ground stations to phones far below.
