Motorola announced the launch of its WiMAX Device Partnership Program for helping device providers to qualify their WiMAX products. This program works with device vendors and 4G operators to increase future WiMAX growth by offering broader end-to-end solutions to include a range of devices for market compatibility.
Motorola said its WiMAX Device Partnership Program, while primarily targeted at ODM’s and OEM’s, is also uniquely positioned to assist operators. Through this partnership, operators will have access to a greater selection of pre-qualified WiMAX devices including netbooks, USB devices, smartphones, mobile internet devices (MID) and VoIP handsets.
