Nokia Siemens Networks signs 2G Expansion Contract for Iraq

Asiacell Communication, a GSM network operator in Iraq, awarded a multi-million frame-contract to Nokia Siemens Networks to expand its 2G network. Nokia Siemens Networks will also extend the local support needed to run Asiacell’s operations in Iraq. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Nokia Siemens Networks will provide its Flexi Base Station, which will enable Asiacell to minimize network deployment and operational costs. In addition Asiacell’s staff will receive competence development services to meet rapid network expansion and the advent of new technologies.http://www.nokiasiemensnetworks.com
