Verizon iobi Adds Text Alert to Voice Mailboxes

Verizon began offering a text message alert service for the voice mailboxes of its home and business landlines. Customers can received a text message alert (SMS) on their Verizon Wireless phone whenever someone has left a message on their wireline voice mailbox. The service is initially being offered in New York City and New England.
