Uniden Supplies Cordless Phone for Vonage

Vonage and Uniden announced a partnership to develop a broadband cordless phone system configured with Vonage’s service. Vonage will market the Uniden cordless phone, which offers a corded base unit and is expandable up to ten cordless handsets.

Uniden’s product will be based on Texas Instruments’ TNETV1060 VoIP gateway chipset.

  • Uniden America unveiled a 5.8GHz digital expandable corded/cordless phone with built-in VoIP capability. The product is a fully integrated VoIP home phone system that can be expanded to a maximum of ten handsets. Uniden is introducing the phone in partnership with 3 different VoIP providers: Lingo, BroadVoice and SunRocket. Uniden subsequently announced a partnership with 8×8.
