Westell's VersaLink Gateway Supports DSL Forum TR-069

Westell Technologies announced that its VersaLink Wireless Gateway now supports the DSL Forum’s new protocol TR-069 for customer premises equipment (CPE) WAN management. TR-069 establishes rules for how a CPE device communicates and is managed by a remote management system. The VersaLink Wireless Gateway offers service providers the ability to now remotely manage the device via a resident TR-069 client. VersaLink offers wired, wireless and alternate WAN, such as fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) access via the VersaPort CPE.

Westell co-authored the TR-069 protocol and co-chairs the DSLHome technical and marketing committees, including the one responsible for the creation of TR-069. http://www.westell.com.
