Zhejiang Telecom Chooses Juniper Networks

Zhejiang Telecom, a provincial subsidiary of China Telecom, has deployed the Juniper Networks T-series platform in its metro core IP network. The project, Juniper Networks’ first T-series deployment in Zhejiang Province, required T320 routing platforms in each of Zhejiang’s ten cities, including Ningbo, Hangzhou and Wenzhou. Following an earlier deployment of Juniper Networks M-series, which facilitated the launching of the carrier’s L2 and L3 MPLS VPN service, the T-series deployment will enable interconnection between autonomous VPN routes within Zhejiang Telecom’s network for more efficient VPN traffic routing. Financial terms were not disclosed. http://www.juniper.net
