Equant to Offer Corporate Wi-Fi via Orange and Others

As part of France Telecom’s Business Everywhere initiative, Equant will offer corporate users a unified mobile access to corporate information and applications via multiple access technologies, including: Wi-Fi, GPRS, DSL, and Dial. Support for UMTS (3G) is scheduled to start in Q4 2004 in major European markets. For Wi-Fi access, Equant is partnering with Orange and other hotspot providers to offer access to more than 8,000 hotspots in business centers, airport lounges and hotels in more than 16 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. The Wi-Fi access will expand to 20 markets by end 2004. http://www.equant.com
