Cox Communications is deploying White Rock Networks’ SONET OC-48/192 Transport platform in multiple locations. White Rock’s metro networking system allows carriers to support a wide range of broadband/wideband services from OC-192 to DS1 including Fast and Gigabit Ethernet. PDH (T1/E1/DS3) time-division multiplexing that interleaved 24 (T1) or 30 (E1) 64 kbit/s voice channels into a frame, then stacked those into higher rates by bit-stuffing loosely synchronized streams.
