Allied Telesyn introduced an eight-channel coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) switch for carriers, enterprises, municipalities, educational institutions, and government agencies with access to fiber. The CWDM platform provides eight Gigabit Ethernet channels on a single fiber pair over operating distances up to 70 km. It is available with either AC or DC power supplies, redundant power options, and optional SNMP management.
Allied Telesyn said the new product is just the first in a series of forthcoming products that will leverage its global manufacturing and design resources.
