Israel Defense Forces Selects ECI's XDM for Optical Network

The Israeli Ministry of Defense has chosen ECI Telecom’s XDM converged optical networking equipment for a new optical backbone based on SDH and DWDM technologies. Under a three-year agreement, several hundred XDM platforms will be deployed for the Israel Defense Forces’ strategic transmission network, providing higher bandwidth and advanced communications capabilities between headquarters, camps, bases and operational sites. Financial terms were not disclosed.
