TippingPoint Hires Former CEO of Efficient Networks

TippingPoint Technologies, a provider of high-speed intrusion prevention, named James A. Hamilton as its new president and COO. Most recently, Hamilton served as president and CEO of Efficient Networks Inc., a subsidiary of Siemens AG. Prior to the Efficient Networks acquisition by Siemens in April 2001, Hamilton served as executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing as well as general manager of the company’s four product divisions from 1999 to 2001.
