Extreme Networks Adds Management Module for BlackDiamond 6800

Extreme Networks enhanced its BlackDiamond 6800 switch platform with the introduction of a new management module featuring hitless failover and hitless software upgrade capabilities while offering complete backwards compatibility with existing I/O modules. The new management module also more than doubles the route table capacity, doubles the Access Control List (ACL) capacity to 10,000 entries, and provides a 200% to 400% improved performance for numerous functions such as Network Address Translation (NAT) and Server Load Balancing.
