NTT Com and Akamai to Launch Content Delivery Service in Japan

NTT Communications and Akamai Technologies are launching a broadband content delivery service in Japan. NTT Comm’s CDN Powered by Akamai service will be seamlessly interconnected with Akamai’s global network. NTT Com will install content-delivery servers at existing points of interconnection between broadband access networks and its own IP backbone. Japanese enterprises will be able to use servers near their end-users to deliver content with low latency worldwide.
