Anue Ships OC-192 SONET "Path Layer" Network Emulator

September 6, 2005

A A

Anue Systems released its newest Network Emulator, capable of handling 9.953 Gbps SONET OC-192 and SDH STM-64 data rates with the ability to impair and delay each individual channel, or path, independently.

Anue Network Emulators are used to validate converged Ethernet and SONET/SDH carrier grade network services, network equipment and applications in a lab test environment.

Anue said next generation Ethernet over SONET aggregation solutions using virtual concatenation (VC), link capacity adjustment scheme (LCAS) and generic framing procedure (GFP) require robust testing of the effects of dynamic path level delays, bit errors, and other network faults. Anue Network Emulators allow this type of testing easily and accurately before new network equipment and new network services are deployed.

Anue Systems is based in Austin, Texas.
