Apple: 7.4 Million iPhone Sales in Q3, up 7% YoY

Apple sold 7.4 million iPhones in Q3 2009, representing seven percent unit growth over the year-ago quarter. A year earlier, during the first quarter of iPhone 3G availability ended September 27, 2008, 6.9 million units were sold, exceeding the 6.1 million first-generation iPhone units sold in the prior five quarters combined.
