Astera Labs announced it is extending its collaboration with NVIDIA to support the NVLink Fusion ecosystem, introducing new scale-up connectivity solutions as part of its Intelligent Connectivity Platform. The move enables hyperscalers to integrate NVLink alongside PCIe, CXL, and Ethernet interconnects in data center environments that require high-performance, low-latency links for AI model training and inference.

Astera Labs’ expanded platform will help address the increasing performance demands of AI workloads with trillions of parameters. NVLink’s memory semantic-aware architecture is designed to synchronize hundreds of accelerators at rack scale, complementing Astera Labs’ existing offerings and management software, COSMOS, which provides system-level visibility and optimization. The collaboration builds on a multi-generational relationship between the two companies, with Astera Labs solutions already deployed across NVIDIA’s HGX, MGX, and NVL72 systems.

At NVIDIA GTC 2025, Astera Labs demonstrated end-to-end PCIe 6.0 interoperability between its Aries 6 Retimers, Scorpio P-Series Fabric Switches, and a NVIDIA Blackwell GPU—highlighting its role in enabling advanced connectivity across heterogeneous AI compute infrastructure. NVLink support will further expand the deployment options available to hyperscalers and OEMs building scale-up and scale-out AI systems.

• Supports high-bandwidth, low-latency, memory-semantic interconnects for AI workloads

• COSMOS software suite integrates with NVLink for data center monitoring and optimization

• Existing collaboration includes deployment of Aries PCIe/CXL retimers in NVIDIA HGX, MGX, and NVL72 platforms

• Demonstrated PCIe 6.0 interoperability at GTC 2025 with NVIDIA Blackwell GPU

• Scorpio P-Series Fabric Switches integrated with NVIDIA MGX for modular PCIe 6-ready designs

“We have a long history of early engagement and industry firsts with NVIDIA, and we are excited to continue this collaboration to advance the NVLink Fusion ecosystem,” said Sanjay Gajendra, President and COO of Astera Labs.
