AT&T has installed a new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to expand its mobile broadband coverage at Turner Field in Atlanta. DAS has the ability to provide enhanced wireless coverage to customers in indoor or outdoor spaces where geographical limitations — terrain, building construction, etc. — or crowd density might otherwise prevent an optimal wireless experience.
AT&T noted that it has invested nearly $7.3 million in DAS projects in Georgia through the first three quarters of 2010.
