Texas Instruments (TI) will cooperate with KTL, an independent testing laboratory (ITL) officially recognized by the DSL Forum, to provide more extensive interoperability testing of TI´s residential gateway products. Alcatel’s DSL port shipments increased strongly in 2004, reaching 19.6 million ports for the full year, a 24 percent increase over 2003. Alcatel announced contract with KPN for the upgrade of its existing DSL infrastructure in The Netherlands to ADSL2+.
