Bell Labs Opens Software Development Center in Madrid

Lucent Technologies opened a Bell Labs software development center in Madrid to focus on the development of network operations systems and the deployment of network intelligence solutions. The site is expected to employ almost 150 engineers. Lucent said the software division will define technical requirements for new features as well as provide specialized support in the commercial distribution and deployment of products in its Navis iOperations portfolio.
