Bezeq Awards Expansion Order to Veraz

August 11, 2008
in Uncategorized
A A

Bezeq, the leading domestic, international telecommunications provider in Israel, awarded an expansion order to Veraz Networks for continued migration of voice traffic off its legacy TDM tandem network and onto an IP backbone. The order builds upon an existing deployment of Veraz’s ControlSwitch and the I-Gate 4000 family of media gateways. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Bezeq initially deployed Veraz’s ControlSwitch to support local number portability (LNP) and mobile number portability (MNP) services. Now, Bezeq will expand the use of the ControlSwitch along with Veraz’s I-Gate 4000 family of media gateways to migrate traffic off of Bezeq’s existing TDM tandem switches onto a national IP backbone, greatly reducing their on-going operating and capital costs and in particular their real estate costs.http://www.veraznetworks.com
