EchoStar’s DISH Network satellite television service added approximately 285,000 net new subscribers during Q3, giving it a total of approximately 9.085 million subscribers. For Q3, EchoStar reported total revenue of $1.45 billion, a 19% increase over the same period in Q2. Net income totaled $35 million, compared to a net loss of $168 million during the corresponding period in 2002.
EchoStar also announced plans to repurchase of up to an aggregate of $1 billion of its own Class A Common Stock.
