Ekinops announced an agreement to acquire Chimere, a French cybersecurity company specializing in Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), as part of its strategy to strengthen its Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) portfolio and expand its presence in enterprise security. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Chimere’s ZTNA platform enables secure connectivity between users, devices, and enterprise resources without relying on traditional VPN architectures. The solution supports SaaS, hybrid, and on-premises deployments, providing flexible options for organizations managing distributed workforces and infrastructure.
The acquisition builds on Ekinops’ broader SASE strategy, following its earlier acquisition of Olfeo, and is aimed at accelerating time-to-market for integrated security and networking solutions. The combined offering will allow Ekinops to provide a more comprehensive platform for secure access, particularly as enterprises adopt cloud services and AI-driven applications.
Ekinops noted that the addition of Chimere enhances its ability to address evolving enterprise requirements, including secure access for remote users, third-party partners, and distributed applications. The integration of ZTNA capabilities is expected to strengthen Ekinops’ positioning in the growing SASE market.
Lionel Chmilewsky, CEO of Ekinops, says: “We’re especially enthusiastic about this acquisition which speeds up the Ekinops group ability to reach its ambitions to become the European SASE leader. By combining our technologies and our business assets, we can attack new, high growth markets with a truly differentiated offer. Chimere has already highly satisfied customers, and Ekinops is looking forward to offering this Chimere ZTNA solution to its own customers and prospects.”
