Brazil’s Embratel is deploying the Tellabs 6300 managed SDH transport system to provide differentiated voice and data services to its corporate customers. The Tellabs platform supports Ethernet Private Networks and Ethernet Private Lines. Installation of Embratel’s Ethernet-over-SDH solutions will initially comprise the Tellabs) 6350 switch node, which is a dense digital cross-connect with 4/4/1 connectivity. The second phase will see the deployment of the Tellabs) 6345 switch node. The upgrades will occur in major cities across Brazil. Financial terms were not disclosed. http://www.tellabs.com
