The new features include the addition of link layer OAM (IEEE 802.3ah, Ethernet first mile) and the service layer OAM (IEEE 802.1ag and ITU-T Y.1731) test features. JDSU Ethernet OAM features perform end-to-end testing including verification of connectivity check messages, Ethernet loopback and insertion/receipt of Ethernet AIS/RDI alarming.
