MEF has expanded its Enterprise Leadership Council (ELC) from four founding members to 14, enhancing its ability to address challenges in cloud, network, and security infrastructure. This council now includes leaders from sectors like finance, healthcare, retail, and technology, aiming to accelerate service automation, cybersecurity, and AI-Ops advancements. Among the key initiatives led by ELC members is MEF’s Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) Circuit Impairment & Maintenance (CIM) Service API, which aims to automate notifications for network circuit impairments and streamline maintenance processes. The ELC expansion reflects MEF’s commitment to fostering collaboration across industries on its independent platform, where enterprises and service providers converge to shape digital transformation initiatives.
In tandem with the ELC expansion, MEF has introduced a new subscription-based membership framework. This model provides members—including service providers, enterprises, and hyperscalers—access to MEF’s LSO resources, SDKs, and certification services. The membership framework, tailored to various roles across the Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) ecosystem, is designed to boost participation from diverse organizations, facilitating collaboration and market growth. With these initiatives, MEF continues to lead in developing the standards and solutions that address critical infrastructure needs.
