Proximus Global has announced a strategic partnership with Nokia to enhance network API solutions for developers and enterprises. The collaboration will integrate Proximus Global’s network APIs into Nokia’s Network as Code platform, enabling wider adoption of 5G and cloud-based applications. At the same time, Nokia will leverage Proximus Global’s presence in the telecom market to expand access to its CAMARA and 5G APIs globally. The partnership aims to accelerate the use of APIs for network slicing, fraud prevention, and other next-generation services, making network capabilities more accessible to developers and enterprises.
As part of this initiative, Proximus Global will utilize Nokia’s Network Exposure Platform and Enterprise API Hub, an implementation of the GSMA Operator Platform, to streamline API access for developers. By exposing their APIs on each other’s platforms, both companies aim to bridge the gap between telecom networks and application developers, unlocking new opportunities in private 5G networks, location-based fraud detection, and enhanced user experiences. With API-driven innovations, enterprises can integrate telecom-grade network functions into their software applications, improving efficiency, security, and scalability.
Proximus Global is targeting key applications such as a real-time fraud prevention API that leverages location data to detect and block suspicious transactions, as well as network slicing APIs for optimizing high-density environments like concerts and large-scale events. Nokia, which launched its Network as Code platform in 2023, has built an ecosystem of 55 partners, including BT, Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefonica, and Google Cloud, to drive network API monetization and industry adoption. By collaborating with Nokia, Proximus Global strengthens its role as a leader in API-driven telecom solutions, providing enterprises with flexible, scalable, and secure digital communications.
