Sky Link, the largest CDMA operator in Russia 
and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), has selected Alcatel-Lucent to introduce 3G/CDMA2000 1x-EVDO Revision B radio access functionality in its network. As part of the agreement Sky Link is also planning to upgrade currently operating EV-DO network in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar. Due to be deployed in 2010, Alcatel-Lucent will equip the mobile operator’s existing CDMA base stations with the newest EV-DO Revision B technology. Financial terms were not disclosed.
