Saudi Arabia's Mobily Selects Huawei

Mobily, a mobile operator in Saudi Arabia, selected Huawei Technologies to construct its nationwide IP bearer network for voice and data services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Specifically, Mobily will deploy Huawei’s core routers NetEngine 5000E (“NE5000E”) and NetEngine 40E (“NE40E”), and network management systems iManager N2000 DMS and NSM, in its national network to support Mobily’s NGN/3G service.

  • Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily) is a Saudi public company managed by the multinational operator Etisalat who owns 35% of Mobily and is the second largest mobile operator in Saudi Arabia with seven million subscribers.
