Shanghai Telecom Selects Juniper's E-series Routers

Shanghai Telecommunications has selected Juniper Networks’ E-series routing platform for the third phase in the expansion of its broadband network. This most recent deployment of the E-series in Shanghai Telecommunications’ network will extend the geographical reach of broadband ADSL access in China’s largest city. The deployment, which is being implemented now, also underpins a network capacity upgrade to meet growing demand for new value-added services including the Shanghai Online 2 multimedia service, also known as China VNet. Shanghai Online 2 offers video on demand, training and education content, gaming and music. Financial terms were not disclosed. http://www.juniper.net
