Sigma Systems Acquires Liberate's OSS business

Sigma Systems has acquired the OSS business of Liberate Technologies, including its division based in Toronto. Financial terms were not disclosed. Sigma Systems is also a provider of operational support systems (OSS) service management and provisioning solutions. Sigma’s product line includes a J2EE architecture embedding BEA’s Weblogic Server. The Sigma OSS product line supports a broad range of subscriber services such as high-speed data and Internet, VoIP including both PacketCable and SIP based architectures, cable telephony, satellite, wireless telephony and data services, 802.x services, ISP, as well as wireless messaging and content services.www.sigma-systems.com
