Sipartech Deploys Ciena in European Terrestrial and Subsea Infrastructure

September 26, 2024

A A

Sipartech, an infrastructure operator based in France, is using Ciena’s GeoMesh Extreme submarine network solution to provide wholesale 400GbE services over an 800Gb/s wavelength. This deployment spans both terrestrial and submarine routes, including the Medloop France submarine cable system, connecting Barcelona, Marseille, and Genoa. The expansion enhances Sipartech’s pan-European network by offering high-capacity, low-latency connectivity, meeting the growing demands of cloud providers, hyperscalers, data centers, and enterprises.

Key points:

• Sipartech is leveraging Ciena’s GeoMesh Extreme solution for wholesale 400GbE services.

• The network includes both terrestrial and submarine routes, such as the Medloop cable connecting Barcelona, Marseille, and Genoa.

• The deployment uses Ciena’s 6500 Packet-Optical Platform and WaveLogic 5 Extreme

• The network is managed by Ciena’s Navigator Network Control Suite with design validation, installation, and testing services provided by Ciena Services.
