Sprint Nextel filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Vonage Holdings Corp., Voiceglo Holdings Inc. and theglobe.com Inc. in the U. S. District Court for the District of Kansas. Sprint Nextel alleges these companies have infringed seven patents relating to voice over packet technology.
Sprint Nextel is seeking an injunction to prevent these companies from further misappropriating its technology as well as seeking unspecified monetary damages.
In response, Theglobe.com and Voiceglo issued a statement saying their technology was proprietary and patent-pending and that they would defend against the lawsuit.
