Telstra Launches VoIP Trial with Lucent

Telstra has launched a VoIP trial in Melbourne. The Telstra Softswitch platform is initially providing multiple telephone line capability and call control features over broadband connections for up to 200 trial participants. Lucent Technologies is the lead provider of the VOIP technology.
