Pilot Photonics announced the availability of its new nano Integrable Tunable Laser Assembly (nano-iTLA), targeting high-performance pluggable transceiver modules used in data center interconnect and edge networking. Built on the company’s patented fast-switching, low-linewidth tunable laser platform, the nano-iTLA supports both C-band and O-band operation, offering versatile deployment options for coherent optical applications.

Designed for compact form factors, the MSA-compliant nano-iTLA is optimized for low power, low noise, and rapid tuning speeds—meeting the requirements of modern data center and telecom environments. It enables advanced “set-and-forget” operation while also supporting rapid channel switching for dynamic networking scenarios. Sampling is already underway, with general availability expected in Q4 2025.

• Pilot Photonics’ nano-iTLA is a tunable laser module available in both C-band and O-band versions

• Offers ultra-fast switching and narrow linewidths suitable for coherent pluggable transceivers

• MSA-compliant footprint supports compact module integration

• Enables both static and dynamic channel tuning for high-speed DCI and edge connectivity

• Sampling now; volume availability expected in Q4 2025

Damian McGillivary, Director of Sales at Pilot Photonics: “Our tunable laser supports everything from set-and-forget operation to fast optical switching of high data rate coherent channels in the C- and O-band. We’re delighted to support our customers as they address strong demand for datacentre interconnect and edge connectivity.”
