Nokia and Leonardo have formed a strategic partnership to deliver integrated mission-critical private wireless networks for public safety agencies and critical infrastructure operators worldwide. The agreement embeds Leonardo’s MC_linX platform—a 3GPP-compliant broadband solution for push-to-talk, video, and data services—into Nokia’s Core Enterprise Solutions, aimed at sectors with demanding requirements such as emergency services, utilities, and railways.

The integrated offering will accelerate deployment of mission-critical networks by providing a pre-configured, scalable, and standards-based solution. Leonardo’s MC_linX platform supports secure, real-time communications across LTE and 5G networks, while Nokia’s low-footprint core modules offer modular, customizable deployment options for private wireless connectivity. Together, the solution enhances operational readiness, enables faster emergency response, and improves situational awareness and service resilience.

This partnership also underscores European collaboration in secure digital infrastructure. Leonardo, a leading aerospace and defense firm, brings cybersecurity and resilience expertise, while Nokia contributes private wireless and core software capabilities that already support hundreds of enterprise and government deployments globally.

• Leonardo’s MC_linX platform will be integrated into Nokia’s Core Enterprise Solutions

• Supports mission-critical push-to-talk, video, and data services over LTE and 5G

• Targets public safety, power utilities, and rail networks requiring real-time, secure connectivity

• Compliant with 3GPP standards and optimized for fast deployment and high reliability

• Enables an end-to-end, made-in-Europe mission-critical communication ecosystem

“By combining Nokia’s robust private wireless and core software capabilities with Leonardo’s trusted mission-critical technologies, we are delivering a seamless solution that meets the stringent demands of industries like public safety, energy, and rail,” said Prakash Sagadopan, Head of Enterprise Wide Area Networks at Nokia.

“We are thrilled that Nokia selected Leonardo’s MC_linX… we provide an entirely made in Europe, unparalleled communication ecosystem,” added Claudio Rando, SVP Marketing & Sales, Leonardo Cyber & Security Solutions.
