ip.access announced plans to develop WCDMA residential and enterprise femtocell products using Qualcomm’s Femtocell Station Modem (FSM) chipset platform. ip.access is also a licensee of Qualcomm’s femtocell patent licensing program.
AT&T is using a residential femtocell by Cisco using ip.access’ Oyster 3G femtocell technology.

Cambridge Silicon Radio (CSR) brought Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, audio and location semiconductors to Semiconductor. That work was distinctive enough to lead to its acquisition by Qualcomm for US$2.5B. The standalone name now passes into the archive — but the team and technology continue inside Qualcomm today. One of 430 names here whose work outlived the company.
