Telenor Sweden will upgrade its 3G network using Nokia Siemens Networks’ energy efficient Flexi Multi Radio Base Stations. It will also use NSN’s solution to upgrade the core network to increase both capacity and functionality allowing Telenor to deliver 21 Mbps HSPA+ services across Sweden. This upgrade includes a common register for GSM, 3G and LTE access. Nokia Siemens Networks will also provide network management systems along with project management, planning, implementation, and optimization services. Financial terms were not disclosed.
