AT&T Files for Statewide Video Franchise in Tennessee

AT&T announced plans to offer video services

in communities across Tennessee and to invest approximately $400 million during the next several years in fiber network upgrades, further broadband deployment and Internet-based technologies to bring new services, including IPTV, to Tennessee consumers. AT&T said its decision to enter the market is a direct consequence of House Bill 1421, which was passed by the Tennessee Legislature and signed into law in May by Gov. Bredesen.http://www.att.com
