Quake introduces 10 Gbps PHY Chips for WANs

Quake Technologies introduced a 10 Gbps serial-to-XAUI PHY for Ethernet and Fibre Channel local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN). The device builds on Quake’s existing LAN PHY components and includes an optional WAN Interconnect Sublayer (WIS) for connecting 10 Gbps Ethernet and Fibre Channel islands across SONET/SDH and WDM networks. The device could be used in XAUI-based modules or directly on a system card interfacing to XFP modules. http://www.quaketech.com
