Kineto Raises $35 Million for Mobile over WLAN

Kineto Wireless, a start-up based in Milpitas, California, raised $35 million in Series C financing for its Mobile over Wireless LAN (MoWLAN) solutions. Kineto is developing technology to allow subscribers to roam seamlessly between mobile networks and WLANs with a single handset for voice and data services. The round was led by Oak Investment Partners. Existing investors including 3i, Mitsui & Co. Venture Partners, SeaPoint Ventures, Storm Ventures, Sutter Hill Ventures and Venrock Associates also participated in the financing round.
