Cambridge Broadband Raises $15 Million for BWA

Cambridge Broadband announced the closing of its Series C financing round totaling $15.25 million for its fixed wireless access technology. The company claims a 37% share of the broadband wireless market in China. The round was led by a new investor, Accel Partners.

Cambridge Broadband’s VectaStar system supports multiple carrier-class services simultaneously, each with QoS. The system offers a 480 Mbps base station capacity that can deliver up to 60 Mbps full-duplex per customer. It has non-line-of-sight capability and self-backhaul at ranges up to 20 km. http://www.cambridgebroadband.com
