A A

ADTRAN introduced a new line of access routers supporting up to two unchannelized DS3s. The new NetVanta line is targeted at small- to medium-sized businesses needing a larger-capacity router to simultaneously support corporate Frame Relay connectivity and secure Internet access from a single platform. It t has two auto-sensing 10/100Base-T Ethernet LAN ports for LAN segmentation or DMZ applications and an optional redundant AC power supply to guarantee availability. Users can also add optional VPN capability for up to 2,000 IP-Sec tunnels supporting DES, 3DES, or AES encryption. ADTRAN’s OS also provides a stateful inspection firewall; QoS via Priority Queuing, DiffServ marking and packet recognition for delay-sensitive traffic like VoIP; VLAN Trunking (802.1Q) for routing between VLANs; Network Address Translation (NAT) for the concealment of private IP addresses; and optional VPN for secure corporate connectivity across the Internet. http://www.adtran.com
