NEC America has integrated wireless access points, associated wireless controllers and system management software into its enterprise mobility solution. The wireless LAN capabilities work with the company’s IP PBX platform. The NEC access points are able to prioritize voice traffic. Up to 14 simultaneous voice conversations can be supported across a single access point. The NEC solution can enable a user to move between access points while maintaining voice quality. The company has demonstrated an average end-to-end latency (AP to switch to AP) of 3 milliseconds.
