China Telecom has selected IBM and CSG Systems to build a billing system for Beijing Telecom to support its fixed line, advanced IP, high speed Internet and Leased Line services supporting up to 500,000 subscribers in Beijing. The billing solution will be developed around billing and data mediation solutions from CSG Systems and implemented on IBM hardware. In addition, IBM will work closely with Beijing Telecom on project management, IT infrastructure implementation of the billing system, along with payment system and network management system implementation. Financial terms were not disclosed.
