Broadcom Introduces Single-Chip Security Processor

Broadcom announced its new low-power, small footprint, 80 Gbps IPsec processor. The new chip features built-in PCI and support for the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). The device is designed to eliminate bottlenecks and degradation across the entire network infrastructure for such equipment as residential gateways, firewalls, and SOHO routers and switches.
