AT&T rolled out AT&T IoT Network Intelligence, a new analytics platform designed to give enterprises deeper visibility into the performance of their connected devices across its 4G and 5G networks. The service targets organizations managing large-scale IoT deployments and aims to improve operational oversight, troubleshooting, and day-to-day device management.
The initial release, IoT Network Intelligence Standard, provides device-level and network-level performance insights through a visualization dashboard. Enterprises can track key network indicators and analyze how IoT devices behave across locations, helping teams identify issues faster and optimize application performance and user experience.
AT&T said the IoT Network Intelligence portfolio will expand over time, with future capabilities tailored to verticals such as healthcare, transportation, and industrial operations. The roadmap includes integration with network-based Mobile Threat and Anomaly Detection (MTAD), which applies machine learning and threat intelligence to flag abnormal behavior and strengthen IoT security.
- Provides device-level KPIs such as signal strength, throughput, and latency for 4G and 5G IoT connections
- Delivers location-based performance insights to compare device behavior across geographic regions
- Uses analytics to surface performance outliers and guide deeper investigation
- Designed as an evolving platform, with planned sector-specific features and built-in security intelligence
“With AT&T IoT Network Intelligence, we’re providing our customers with the tools they need to gain deeper insights into their IoT operations,” said Cameron Coursey, vice president of Connected Solutions at AT&T. “This solution is a game-changer, offering enhanced clarity that will drive efficiency and innovation across industries.”
🌐 Analysis
AT&T’s launch reflects a broader shift among operators toward monetizing network intelligence rather than connectivity alone, as enterprises demand clearer visibility into increasingly complex IoT deployments. Similar analytics-driven IoT offerings from global carriers and cloud providers underscore how performance insight and security telemetry are becoming baseline expectations for large-scale IoT operations.
