Conexant Systems unveiled a session initiation protocol (SIP) reference design for analog and cordless telephone handset adaptors. The reference design, which includes Conexant’s home network processor, voice coprocessor and voice codec, can be used for residential and commercial applications including connecting analog phones and fax machines to digital VoIP, enterprise or small-office networks. The reference design also includes an interface for Ethernet, ADSL and cable modem connectivity.
