Cypress Samples High Performance Network Search Engine

Cypress Semiconductor began sampling a new high-performance network search engine (NSE) optimized for multi-protocol packet classification and forwarding at 266 million searches per second (MSPS). Cypress claims its new device effectively doubles the search performance of existing NSE solutions. The network search engine could be used in Internet routers and switches to offload search functions from the network processing ASIC or FPGA.
